Veronica St. Clair joined us back on the Popternative show to talk all things La Brea season 2 which premiered on September 27th. Veronica stars as Riley Velez in the sci-fi drama series which also includes Natalie Zea, Eoin Macken, Jon Seda, Nicholas Gonzalez, Chiké Okonkwo, Zyra Gorecki, Jack Martin, Rohan Mirchandaney, Lily Santiago, Josh McKenzie, Tonantzin Carmelo, and Michelle Vergara Moore.
La Brea follows an epic family adventure after a massive sinkhole opens in Los Angeles pulling people and buildings into a mysterious and dangerous primeval land where they have no choice but to band together to survive. In season two, the Harris family remains separated as Eve is reeling from her son, Josh, having mistakenly gone through a portal to 1988. What she doesn’t know yet is that her estranged husband, Gavin, and their daughter, Izzy, have landed in prehistoric Seattle and now must brave the elements and animals to make their way to L.A.

In our interview, Veronica talks about the arc of her character this season, her experiences filming the show in Australia, the genre-bending elements of La Brea and much more. She also discusses whether she would ever work in the genre of horror, and hints that there are potential horror elements in an upcoming La Brea episode this season.
Watch the interview below with Veronica St. Clair.
La Brea airs on Tuesdays at 9 pm ET on NBC. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
