Sofia Hasmik joined us back on the Popternative show to discuss reprising her role as Chrissy Beppo opposite Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch in season 3 of The CW’s hit superhero drama series Superman & Lois. The third season recently premiered on Tuesday, March 14th. In the series, Chrissy is a professional, go-getter journalist at the Smallville Gazette who single-handedly ran the Smallville Gazette before her professional idol, Lois (Tulloch), joined in as a partner.

In season 3, viewers will get a peek into Chrissy’s personal life and venture outside the parameters of her being a small-town journalist. Sofia explains the growth of Chrissy from the first season: “She’s developed more of a footing I would say. She’s on sturdier ground I think with who she is.”

“She’s [Chrissy] so interesting because she does carry herself in a very confident way but I think with anybody, there’s always going to be the self doubt a little bit. Reading a room I think she’s pretty good at, but I think she gives way to those little voices sometimes, that little bit of self doubt. She’s just very honest as well, she feels very deeply, she’s very compassionate, she’s such a hard worker,” Sofia goes on to describe Chrissy’s character. In our interview, she also discusses filming season 3 and working with the cast of Superman & Lois for the past few years.

Superman & Lois airs on The CW on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET and can be streamed online and The CW app.
