Fans of Prime Video’s The Wilds are eagerly waiting for season 2, and it is just around the corner set for May 6, 2022. We were joined on the Popternative show by Sarah Pidgeon who stars as Leah, and Reign Edwards as Rachel, to discuss the upcoming season.

Premiering in December 2020, The Wilds follows a group of teen girls from different backgrounds who must fight for survival after a plane crash strands them on a deserted island. The girls both clash and bond as they learn more about each other, the secrets they keep, and the traumas they’ve all endured. The thrilling twist however is that the girls did not end up on this island by accident.

In Season 2, survival hangs in the balance for the group of teenage girls stranded on a deserted island, after the explosive discovery that what’s happening to them is an elaborate social experiment.

This season increases the drama with the introduction of more test subjects: another island of teenage boys who must also fight for survival under the watchful eye of the experiment’s puppet master.

In our interview, Sarah discusses her character Leah and how complex she is, and what we can expect from her in season 2. Reign explains the importance of flashbacks in The Wilds and how the serve a key role.
