We were joined back on the Popternative show by Naledi Murray to discuss season 2 of Netflix’s Sweet Tooth which premiered on April 27. Already renewed for a third and final season, season 2 finds Gus (Christian Convery) and his fellow hybrids held captive by the Last Men in order to find a cure for the Sick. To save his friends, Gus must find new strength as he uncovers the origins of The Great Crumble.
The season 2 cast also includes Nonso Anozie as Jepperd, Adeel Akhtar as Dr. Singh, Stefania LaVie Owen as Bear, Dania Ramirez as Aimee Eden, Aliza Vellani as Rani Singh, Neil Sandilands as General Abbot, Marlon Williams as Johnny Abbot, Christopher Sean Cooper Jr. as Teddy Turtle, and Yonas Kibreab as Finn Fox, with James Brolin as the voice of the narrator. Naledi plays Wendy, a human-pig hybrid who is adopted by Aimee and helps protect other hybrid children. The end of season 1 saw Wendy and the other hybrids being seperated from Aimee and locked up by the Last Men.

In our interview, Naledi talks about what it was like returning to set to film season 2 and how she has more scenes with Christian Convery compared to the first season. She also discusses Wendy’s character growth and how she sort of has taken on the mother role while being locked up with the other hybrid children. We also of course discuss the popularity of Bobby, the adorable human-groundhog hybrid everyone loves and roots for.
