Season 2 follows the rise and fall of an intense teenage friendship and love triangle told through three different timelines surrounding Y2K (summer 1999, winter 1999, and summer 2000) and the mystery that would impact all of their lives.
Season 2 stars Lisa as Parker Tanaka, Sadie Stanley As Megan Landry, Lexi Underwood As Isabella LaRue, Griffin Gluck As Luke Chambers, KaDee Strickland As Debbie Landry, Sean Blakemore As Sheriff Myer, with Nile Bullock as Jeff, Braedan De La Garza as Brent Chambers, and Paul Adelstein as Steve Chambers. Before joining season 2, Lisa was a fan of the series: “I watched Cruel Summer, it was so good. [I was thinking] it’s too good to be true for me to be series regular on a show I actually watched and loved.”
In our interview, Lisa tells us about her audition process for season 2 of Cruel Summer, filming the series over a year ago in Vancouver, the popularity of the whodunit genre, and portraying a character in the years 1999/2000.
