We were joined on the Popternative show by Levi Miller (Better Watch Out, Pan) who stars in the new Australian WWI film, Before Dawn, which premiered in select theaters and on digital July 19.

Directed by Jordon Prince-Wright (The Decadent and Depraved), it follows Jim Collins (Miller) who leaves his family’s sheep farm in the Australian outback to join his countrymen on the western front of World War I with hopes of helping to put end to the bloody conflict. But as war rages on, he is forced to grapple with the brutal realities of trench warfare, including a near-constant battle to keep himself alive—without leaving another man behind.

In our interview, Levi discusses his role in Before Dawn and how the film is based on real life war diaries, telling untold, historical stories. He also touches on his past projects including the Christmas horror-comedy, Better Watch Out. Watch the full conversation below.
