We were joined on the Popternative show by Kai Caster who joins season 5 of Yellowstone on the Paramount Network as Rowdy, a cowboy who plays a major part in Rip and Beth’s past.
Season 5, which premiered in November, features a critically-acclaimed ensemble cast including Oscar winner Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Forrie Smith, Denim Richards, Ian Bohen, Finn Little, Ryan Bingham and Gil Birmingham with Mo Brings Plenty, Wendy Moniz, Jen Landon and Kathryn Kelly upped to series regulars. The new season also features the return of Josh Lucas as young John Dutton alongside Jacki Weaver, Kylie Rogers and Kyle Red Silverstein with Lainey Wilson, Lilli Kay, and Dawn Olivieri.
In our interview, Kai shares with us how he was cast for his role in Yellowstone, and shares an interesting story involving series creator Taylor Sheridan. He also tells us why he thinks the series is so popular following a record-shattering season 5 premiere.
