We had the chance to catch up with actor Jordane Christie. Jordane plays Vern Loomis in season 2 of Why Women Kill which premiered on June 3rd on Paramount+. Here’s what he had to say about the series and acting.
When did you decide that acting was something you wanted to do?
JC: Growing up, I was always fascinated by the immersive power of a great story. I was pretty reserved kid, so initially, TV, film, and theater amazed me to the point where I thought it was too grand for me to actually be a part of. Once I got the guts to try it in high school; I was hooked and just wanted to keep performing, growing, and learning.

What can you tell us about Why Women Kill on Paramount+?
JC: In simple terms, “Why Women Kill” Season 2 is about how far one woman will go in order to belong and meet society’s ideals of beauty. It it also about how monsters are essentially created through those pressures. It is a very entertaining watch with addicting characters that you may be surprised you are falling for. What can you tell us about your character in the show?
Vern has everyone’s dirty laundry and takes pleasure in it. The motivations of people hardly surprise him anymore and he feels that genuine love is hard to come by these days, though love, is the thing that he wants more than anything. He is also a private investigator and gets intertwined with the central women’s pursuits in more ways than one.
What can people expect for the rest of season 2 of Why Women Kill?
JC: A lot more twists, turns, and murder.
What is the best thing about being a storyteller in your opinion?
JC: Empathy. You get to learn more about other people and perspectives, which fills you with diverse experience. You also get to travel!
What is the best life advice someone has ever given you?
JC: “You are enough”
