In the long-awaited third (and final) season of Euphoria, the HBO drama introduced several new faces into the lives of its characters. Among them is Heather, played by Jessica Blair Herman, who joins the series as a close friend and neighbor of Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Nate (Jacob Elordi). We spoke with Jessica about her experience working on the series and what it has been like to be part of one of television’s biggest cultural phenomena.
In our conversation, Jessica reflects on the unique atmosphere on set, which she describes as “the coolest playground you’ve ever been on in your life,” as well as the creative freedom she has been given to explore and develop her character. She also shares insights into working with series creator Sam Levinson, whose approach to the release of the scripts helped preserve the show’s vision and surprises.
“Getting to know each other was such a privilege,” Jessica says of working with Sydney Sweeney. “She’s such a beautiful actress—vulnerable, and she knows how to dive into Cassie in a way that I think is really admirable.”

Looking back on the experiences and insights she gained from Euphoria as an actor and storyteller, Jessica says, “I tihnk for me, it’s [about] trust. Trust as an actor. Learning from Jacob and Sydney and everyone on that set, from the cast and crew, they trust their talent. You [also] have a director that really helps you feel like this is a collaborative process. So, I think in that way, now when I go onto set, the freedom to play within my own body is such a gift. And we’re all unique and we’re all constantly evolving and changing as people. What you’re able to bring to one role that you [might not for] another. Just always to trust your instincts.”
