We were joined on the Popternative show by Henry Thomas to discuss his new Western thriller, High Ground which is now available on Digital via Republic Pictures (A Paramount Pictures Label). Directed by James Bamford (Watchmen, Arrow), and written by Bill Sondheim (The Most Dangerous Game), the film follows a sheriff in a border town who must battle a ruthless cartel after a mysterious prisoner is thrown into his jail.
It also stars Charlie Weber (After We Collided, How to Get Away with Murder) and Katherine McNamara (Shawdowhunters, Arrow), Jon Voight (Ray Donovan, Deliverance), James Oliver Wheatley (5lbs of Pressure, Belgravia: The Next Chapter), and Skyler Shaye (Ray Donovan, JL Ranch).

In our interview, Henry discusses the blend of Western and thriller elements in High Ground as well as playing a character he usually doesn’t always get a chance to play.
Furthermore, the interviews dives into Thomas’s work with Mike Flanagan in the horror series The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix. He reflects on the current excitement surrounding horror and the opportunity to participate in the genre. Finally, we of course briefly discuss the impact of Steven Spielberg’s timeless and iconic E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.
