We were joined on the Popternative show by Ewan McGregor (A Gentleman in Moscow, Obi-Wan Kenobi), and Charley Boorman (Ride with Norman Reedus, Long Way Round) to discuss their fourth series in their Long Way motorcycle franchise, Long Way Home.
This new installment follows Ewan and Charley’s previous adventures in Long Way Round, Long Way Down, and Long Way Up, now streaming on Apple TV+.
Long Way Home premiered on Apple TV+ on May 9, and the 10-episode journey follows Ewan and Charley as they ride refurbished vintage motorbikes from Ewan’s home in Scotland to Charley’s in England. But instead of taking the fastest route, they take the long way by heading across the North Sea to Scandinavia, all the way up to the Arctic Circle, and then down to the Baltics and through continental Europe. They eventually end up back over the English Channel two months later.
Long Way Home takes Ewan and Charley to more than 15 countries as they immerse themselves in each country’s culture, meet the locals and try their hand at unique and eclectic activities. In our interview, they tell us what viewers can except from their new adventure on the road and lots more.
