We were joined back on the Popternative show by Emma Myers who stars in the new Netflix film, Family Switch, premiering November 30th on the streaming platform. Emma stars alongside Jennifer Garner (The Adam Project, 13 Going on 30), Ed Helms (Vacation, The office) and Brady Noon (The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, Good Boys). The film is a take on the body-swap trope we’ve seen in films like Freaky Friday and The Hot Chick.
Family Switch follows Jess and Bill Walker who are doing their best to keep their family connected as their children grow older, more independent, and more distant. When a chance encounter with an astrological reader causes the family to wake up to a full body switch on the morning of the most important day of each of their lives, the Walkers must unite to land a promotion, college interview, a record deal and soccer tryout.
The cast also includes Bashir Salahuddin (South Side, Cyrano), Matthias Schweighöfer (Oppenheimer, Heart of Stone), Xosha Roquemore (Space Jam: A New Legacy, Precious), Ilia Isorelýs Paulino (One Piece, Me Time), Paul Scheer (Star Trek: Lower Decks, The League), Fortune Feimster (Fubar, The Mindy Project), and Rita Moreno (80 for Brady, West Side Story).
In our interview, Emma talks about preparing to play two roles in the film as well as what it was like working alongside Jennifer Garner She also discusses her role as the lovable Enid Sinclair in Netflix’s Wednesday and the smilar fashion trends between Enid and CC.
