We were joined on the Popternative show by director Olivia Newman who described the film as “a dream come true” to work on. When it came to goals for the film, Olivia described them simply as “to take the viewer on a similar journey that they went on when reading the book.” She also describes what it was like working with a team of “powerhouse women” who were passionate about the book and shared her vision for it.
