Sonic the Hedgehog is back in Netflix’s upcoming animated adventure series Sonic Prime which will premiere on December 15th with all 8 episodes. The action-packed series follows Sonic as he clashes with Dr. Eggman resulting in a literal universe-shattering event. In an effort to to piece his prime reality back together and save his old friends, Sonic races through the Shatterverse discovering strange worlds and enlisting new friends.
Produced by SEGA, WildBrain, and Marza, Sonic Prime‘s voice cast includes Deven Mack (Sonic), Brian Drummond (Eggman), Ashleigh Ball (Tails), Shannon Chan-Kent (Amy Rose), Adam Nurada (Knuckles), and Ian Hanlin (Shadow and Big the Cat).
We were joined on the Popternative show by voice actor Deven Mack who voices Sonic, and Executive Producer Logan McPherson to chat about the upcoming series. Logan talks about the specific color palette in the series and how specific colors were used to support the storytelling. Deven discusses how he prepared himself for voicing Sonic, and explains that he grew up watching the animated series and playing the video games which helped as well.
