We were joined on the Popternative show by David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devi, Dune: Part One) who stars alongside Alexander Skarsgård (SuccessionBig Little Lies) in the new series Murderbot, premiering May 16 on Apple TV+.

The science-fiction-action-comedy series is based on the award-winning books by Martha Wells, The Murderbot Diaries. Murderbot is described as “a sci-fi thriller/comedy about a self-hacking security construct who is horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable clients. Played by Skarsgård, Murderbot must hide its free will and complete a dangerous assignment when all it really wants is to be left alone to watch futuristic soap operas and figure out its place in the universe.”
