Peacock’s popular mystery drama series One of Us Is Lying is back for its second season a year after the season one finale dropped in October 2021. Based on Karen M. McManus’ 2017 YA novel of the same title, season one followed five high school students in detention where one of them dies under suspicious circumstances and an investigation begins with scrutiny on the four students. We were joined on the Popternative show by Cooper van Grootel who plays Nate and tells us is excited about this new season which is no longer based on the book.

Following the heart-pounding conclusion of season one, the “Bayview Four” are hiding a very deadly secret. In season two, Peacock describes it as one where “we’ll see just how far they’ll go to protect their secret, themselves, and each other.”

One of Us Is Lying also stars Marianly Tejada (The Purge), Chibuikem Uche (The Tomorrow War), Annalisa Cochrane (Cobra Kai), Jess McLeod (The Unforgivable), Melissa Collazo (Freaky), Sara Thompson (Burden of Truth) and Alimi Ballard (Queen of the South).
