We chatted with Chiké Okonkwo on the Popternative show about season 2 of La Brea on NBC which premiered on September 27th, 2022. Chiké plays Ty Coleman in the adventure series which follows a family after a massive sinkhole opens in Los Angeles pulling people and buildings into a mysterious and dangerous primeval land. In season 2, the Harris family remains separated as Eve is reeling from her son, Josh, having mistakenly gone through a portal to 1988. What she doesn’t know yet is that her estranged husband, Gavin, and their daughter, Izzy, have landed in prehistoric Seattle and now must brave the elements and animals to make their way to L.A.

The cast also includes Natalie Zea, Eoin Macken, Jon Seda, Nicholas Gonzalez, Zyra Gorecki, Jack Martin, Veronica St. Clair, Rohan Mirchandaney, Lily Santiago, Josh McKenzie, Tonantzin Carmelo and Michelle Vergara Moore.

In our interview, Chiké talks about what it was like reading the scripts of season 2 for the first time, being on a show that mixes many genres and much more. He also talks about why he loves being a storyteller and what led him to this journey.
