We recently spoke with the winner of season 1’s baking competition series, Netflix’s Is It Cake?, Andrew Fuller. The series premiered on March 18, 2022, and follows skilled cake artists who create mouthwatering replicas of items such as handbags, sewing machines and more in a mind-bending baking contest inspired by a popular meme and hosted by Mikey Day (Saturday Night Live). Interestingly, Andrew tells us that he was not aware Mikey Day was the host untill the cameras first began to roll, which made the reactions very authentic.
In our interview, Andrew discusses his reaction to being part of the series, and of course winning the whole thing, and his some of his experiences from being a cake artist. We also talk about the popularity of Is It Cake? and his love for horror.
