What to Watch: International Film & Series to Watch on Netflix in June & July 2025

Netflix has released their slate of new international films and new and returning international series premiering throughout June and July 2025. Highlights include the new series, Mercy for None (South Korea), the film Our Times (Mexico), Season 2 of Rana Naidu (India), and the new series from Elite producers, Olympo (Spain).

Criminal Code – Season 2 (Brazil)
Date: June 4

Cast: Rômulo Braga, Maeve Jinkings, Pedro Caetano, Thomas Aquino, Alex Nader, Daniel Blanco, Letícia Tomazella and Jorge Paz

Synopsis: “After helping the Ambassador escape from prison, Isaac and his Ghost Gang become the Federal Police’s main targets. Increasingly sophisticated robberies turn them into crime legends — and going after them will require everything the agents have got. During the challenging investigation, Suellen will have to prove himself as a leader. Meanwhile, Benício experiences a crisis after losing yet another friend and discovering that Soulless escaped from prison.”

Mercy For None – Season 1 (South Korea)
Date: June 6

Synopsis: “After 11 years in exile, Gi-jun, a former mob enforcer, returns with a vengeance to hunt down his brother’s killers and unleash his fury on Seoul’s criminal underworld.”

Families Like Ours – Season 1 (Denmark)
Date: June 10

Cast: Nikolaj Lie Kaas, Amaryllis April Maltha August, Paprika Steen, Albert Rudbeck Lindhardt, Helene Reingaard Neumann, Magnus Millang, Esben Smed

Synopsis: “Countries disappear, love remains. Denmark, in a not-too-distant future. The rising water levels can no longer be ignored and the country needs to be evacuated. As people disperse in all directions, they must bid farewell to what they love, what they know, and who they are. Slowly but steadily, everything changes. All property becomes worthless, all fortunes change, and luck favours only a few. Those who can afford it travel to affluent countries while the less well-off depend on government-funded relocation to more challenging destinations. Families, friends, and loved ones are separated. Our Times – Film (Mexico)

Synopsis:Our Times tells the love story of Nora and Héctor, two brilliant scientists and a married couple living in 1960s Mexico, until a journey through time thrusts them into the present day, where life is very different. While Nora adapts wonderfully and finds a society that is ready to listen to her, Héctor longs to return to 1966, where times seem better to him. Could their love survive our times, or will it remain only in the past?”

Rana Naidu – Season 2 (India)
Date: June 13

Cast: Rana Daggubati, Venkatesh Daggubati, Arjun Rampal, Surveen Chawla, Kriti Kharbandha, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Dino Morea

Synopsis: “As he races to make one last fix to secure his family’s future, Rana Naidu finds his biggest obstacle is his family itself, realizing they’re more perilous together than apart.”

Olympo – Season 1 (Spain)
Date: June 20

Cast: Clara Galle, Nira Osahia, Agustín Della Corte, Nuno Gallego, María Romanillos, Martí Cordero, Juan Perales, Andy Duato, and Najwa Khliwa

Synopsis: “At the Pirineos Center of High Performance, the best athletes in the country train, such as Amaia (Clara Galle), the captain of the national artistic swimming team, a self-demanding girl who does not allow herself to make mistakes. Ziam – Film (Thailand)
Date: July 9

Synopsis: “In a desolate world where survival is relentless, Singh, a former professional boxer, plans to forsake his perilous career and return to his hometown to spend his twilight years with his girlfriend, Rin, who is a doctor. Glass Heart – Season 1 (Japan)
Date: July 31
