HBO today revealed the official trailer for House of the Dragon season 2 which premieres Sunday, June 16th at 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.
The eight-episode second season will feature returning cast members Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Rhys Ifans, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.
New cast members include Abubakar Salim (Jamestown) as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin (GLOW) as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox (Slow Horses) as Ser Gwayne Hightower, Simon Russell Beale (The Outfit) as Ser Simon Strong, Clinton Liberty (Red Election) as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna (Children of Men) as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew (Da Vinci’s Demons) as Hugh, Tom Bennett (After Life) as Ulf, Tom Taylor (Doctor Foster: A Woman Scorned) as Lord Cregan Stark, and Vincent Regan (One Piece) as Ser Rickard Thorne.
The synopsis for House of the Dragon season 2 reads: “Westeros is on the brink of a bloody civil war with the Green and Black Councils fighting for King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, respectively. As each side believes theirs to be the rightful seat on the Iron Throne, the Green and Black trailers reflect those two perspectives in separate yet complementary halves of the same story. For global audiences, “All Must Choose” their side of House Targaryen as the realm fractures in season two.”
