The official trailer for The Last of Us Season 2 is finally here

HBO released the official trailer for the second season of The Last of Us during a panel at South by Southwest (SXSW). The seven-episode second season debuts Sunday, April 13 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on Max. New episodes will debut subsequent Sundays.

Season 2 returning cast includes Pedro Pascal (Gladiator II) as Joel, Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones) as Ellie, Gabriel Luna (FUBAR) as Tommy, and Rutina Wesley (True Blood) as Maria.

Previously announced new cast includes Kaitlyn Dever (Apple Cider Vinegar) as Abby, Isabela Merced (Alien: Romulus) as Dina, Young Mazino (Beef) as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) as Nora, Spencer Lord (Heartland) as Owen, Danny Ramirez (Top Gun: Maverick) as Manny, and Jeffrey Wright (American Fiction) as Isaac. Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek) also guest stars.

The Last of Us Season 2 synopsis: Five years after the events of the first season, Joel and Ellie are drawn into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.

The Last of Us is based on the acclaimed video game franchise developed by Naughty Dog for the PlayStation consoles and is written and executive produced by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann.
