We were joined back on the Popternative show by Nikki Roumel who portrays Young Georgia in the hit Netflix drama series Ginny & Georgia. Season 3 premiered on June 5 which quickly debuted at #1 with 17.6 million views.
Already renewed for a fourth season, the series is created by Sarah Lampert, and Season 3 picks up where the second season ended with Georgia (played by Brianne Howey) arrested at her wedding. Season 3 follows Georgia trying to win her murder trial while also grappling with the effects it is having on her children, Ginny and Austin.
We meet Young Georgia in flashbacks that give viewers glimpses into Georgia’s troubled past and how it has shaped who she is in the present.
“It was different in the sense that, for me, for Young Georgia, as I’m getting older we’re all going through changes and depth, so it was a lot more of the confidence and bridging that age gap, getting closer to Brianne [Howey]. So, it was a lot of pressure that I put on myself, everyone was so supportive and so loving. And working with Camilla [Bascom] and Leo [Hepburn] who I worked with in Season 2, [I got] closer to them in creating that [on-screen] mother-daughter, mother-son bond,” Nikki says on returning to play Young Georgia for a third season.
