Netflix today released the official first look photos of their upcoming dark comedy series Beef premiering globally on April 6, 2023. Steven Yeun (Minari, Nope, Burning) stars as Danny who also serves as Executive Producer through his company Universal Remote, alongside Ali Wong (Always Be My Maybe, Baby Cobra, Hard Knock Wife) as Amy and is also an Executive Producer.

From A24 Studios, Beef is created by Lee Sung Jin (Dave, Silicon Valley) and will consist of 10 episodes. The series “follows the aftermath of a road rage incident between two strangers. Danny Cho (Steven Yeun), a failing contractor with a chip on his shoulder, goes head-to-head with Amy Lau (Ali Wong), a self-made entrepreneur with a picturesque life. The increasing stakes of their feud unravel their lives and relationships in this darkly comedic and deeply moving series.”

Jake Schreier (Kidding, Paper Towns) will direct episodes 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, and 9, Hikari (37 Seconds, Tokyo Vice) episodes 1, 4, and 5, and Lee Sung Jin (Undone, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) episode 10.

The cast also includes Joseph Lee, Young Mazino, David Choe, and Patti Yasutake, with Maria Bello, Ashley Park, Justin H. Min, Mia Serafino, and Remy Holt as recurring cast.
