Hero Fiennes Tiffin Stars in Upcoming Young SherlockSeries
Prime Video dropped the first teaser for Young Sherlock, starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin (After franchise, The Ministry of UngentlemanlyWarfare) as a younger Sherlock Holmes. Helmed by director and executive producer Guy Ritchie (MobLand, The Gentlemen), the series is a new reimagining of the legendary detective, exploring the formative years that shaped his brilliant mind. The eight-episode series follows Holmes’s earliest cases and adventures, with all episodes set to debut on March 4, 2026.
The synopsis reads, “With all the wit and charm of Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes feature films, Young Sherlock follows the origin story of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s beloved detective in an explosive re-imagining of this iconic character’s early days. Sherlock Holmes is a disgraced young man – raw and unfiltered – when he finds himself wrapped up in a murder case that threatens his liberty. His first ever case unravels a globe-trotting conspiracy that changes his life forever. Unfolding in 1870s Oxford and adventuring abroad, the series will expose the early antics of the anarchic adolescent who is yet to evolve into Baker Street’s most renowned resident.”
Additional cast include Dónal Finn (The Wheel of Time, Rogue Heroes), Zine Tseng (3 Body Problem), Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love, The Handmaid’s Tale), Natascha McElhone (Hotel Portofino, Halo), Max Irons (Miss Austen, Condor) and Colin Firth (The King’s Speech, Lockerbie: A Search for Truth).
Young Sherlock is created and executive produced by showrunner Matthew Parkhill (Deep State, Rogue) with executive producers Dhana Rivera Gilbert (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Boardwalk Empire), Marc Resteghini (Keeping Up with the Joneses), Simon Maxwell (Deep State, The Woman in the Wall), Ivan Atkinson (MobLand, The Gentlemen), Simon Kelton (Eddie the Eagle), Colin Wilson (The Mandalorian, The Meg), and co-executive producers Harriet Creelman (Sanditon, One Night) and Steve Thompson.
