Schitt’s Creek creator and star Dan Levy is back with another comedy series centered on a dysfyntiocal family, but this time, with the addition of organized crime. Big Mistakes, premiering April 9 on Netflix, follows two siblings who find themselves completely out of their depth after a misguided theft meant to help their dying grandmother accidentally drags them into the world of organized crime. Blackmailed into taking on increasingly dangerous jobs, the pair somehow keep failing upward as they find their way deeper into a chaotic underworld they’re hilariously unequipped to survive.
Rachel Sennott (I Love L.A., Bottoms) co-created the series with Levy and also serves as executive producer. Levy stars alongside an ensemble cast including Taylor Ortega (The Four Seasons, Another Simple Favor), Laurie Metcalf (The Conners, Lady Bird), Abby Quinn (Hell of a Summer, Knock at the Cabin), Boran Kuzum (Wounded Love, Thank You, Next), Jack Innanen (Adults, The Office Movers), Elizabeth Perkins (Sharp Objects, Weeds), Mark Ivanir (Zero Day, Mayor of Kingstown), Ilia Volok (Full Circle, Gemini Man), Jacob Gutierrez (Dear Edward), Joe Barbara (Another World), and Darren Goldstein (Ozark, The Affair).

“I’m so excited to be bringing this truly chaotic family story to life with Netflix. I’m thrilled with the team we’re building both behind the scenes and in front of the camera. Taylor Ortega is going to become a household name, and it’s been my life’s mission to get to call Laurie Metcalf ‘mother.’ Looking forward to getting to share this with everyone,” Levy tells Tudum.
