Max today released first look footage (below) and an image of the The Penguin starring Colin Farrell as The Penguin. The series is currently in production, and the first look was revealed during Warner Bros. Discovery’s unveiling of the Max streaming service on the Warner Bros. lot in Los Angeles.

The eight-episode DC Studios drama series continues The Batman epic crime saga that filmmaker Matt Reeves began with Warner Bros. Pictures’ global blockbuster The Batman (2022), and centers on the character played by Farrell in the film.

The previously announced cast for the series also includes Cristin Milioti (Palm Springs, How I Met Your Mother), Rhenzy Feliz (The Tender Bar, Marvel’s Runaways), Michael Kelly (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, House of Cards), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse, 24), and Deirdre O’Connell (Outer Range, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) with Clancy Brown (Cowboys and Aliens, SpongeBob SquarePants) and Michael Zegen (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Boardwalk Empire) recurring.

The series is executive produced by Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, Lauren LeFranc, who writes and serves as showrunner, Craig Zobel, who directs the first three episodes, and Bill Carraro.
