Prime Video today released first look photos from the upcoming crime drama series, The Better Sister starring Jessica Biel (Candy, The Sinner) and Elizabeth Banks (Mrs. America, The Hunger Games). The limited series will premiere on the streaming platform with all 8 episodes on May 29.

Based on the book by bestselling author Alafair Burke, the thriller series is about the terrible things that drive sisters apart and ultimately bring them back together. The series also stars Corey Stoll (Billions, The Strain), Kim Dickens (Fear the Walking Dead, Deadwood), Maxwell Acee Donovan (That ’90s Show, Good Kids), Bobby Naderi (The Beekeeper, Bright), Gabriel Sloyer (Griselda, Inventing Anna), Gloria Reuben (Elsbeth, Mr. Robot), Michael Harney (NCIS: Origins, Orange Is The New Black), Matthew Modine (Zero Day, Stranger Things), and Lorraine Toussaint (The Equalizer, Orange Is the New Black).

Chloe (Jessica Biel), a high-profile media executive, lives a picturesque life with her handsome lawyer husband Adam (Corey Stoll) and teenage son Ethan (Maxwell Acee Donovan) by her side while her estranged sister Nicky (Elizabeth Banks) struggles to make ends meet and stay clean. When Adam is brutally murdered, the prime suspect sends shockwaves through the family, reuniting the two sisters, as they try to untangle a complicated family history to discover the truth behind his death.

Olivia Milch (Ocean’s 8, Hello Tomorrow!) and Regina Corrado (Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King) are executive producers and showrunners. Series director Craig Gillespie (Pam & Tommy, Lars and the Real Girl) and Annie Marter (The Devil All the Time, Nobody), are executive producers through Fortunate Jack Productions alongside executive producers Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, and Alissa Bachner through Tomorrow Studios (One Piece), Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks, Michelle Purple (The Sinner, Cruel Summer), and Kerry Orent (Dr. Death, Michael Clayton). The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Tomorrow Studios (part of ITV Studios).
