To kick off Stranger Things Day, Netflix announced a brand new animated series, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, from showrunner Eric Robles and Stranger Things co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer.
Premiering on Netflix in 2026, Tales From ’85 is set in the Stranger Things universe between Seasons 2 and 3 and features characters fans already know and love.
The logline reads, “Welcome back to Hawkins in the stark winter of 1985, where the original characters must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorizing their town in Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, an epic new animated series.”
The voice cast includes:
Brooklyn Davey Norstedt (WeCrashed) as Eleven
Jolie Hoang-Rappaport (In Your Dream) as Max
Luca Diaz (Erin & Aaron) as Mike
Elisha “EJ” Williams (The Wonder Years) as Lucas
Braxton Quinney as Dustin
Ben Plessala (Castlevania: Nocturne) as Will
Brett Gipson (Knights of Badassdom) as Hopper
Additional voice cast includes Odessa A’zion (I Love LA, Until Dawn), Janeane Garofalo (Wet Hot American Summer, Ratatouille), and Lou Diamond Phillips (Prodigal Son, La Bamba). It is not yet announced which characters they will be voicing.
