Searchlight Pictures today revealed a first look image at the upcoming fantasy drama, All of Us Strangers starring Andrew Scott (His Dark Materials, Fleabag) and Paul Mescal (Aftersun, Normal People). Written and directed by Andrew Haigh (The North Water, Weekend), the film also stars Jamie Bell (Shining Girls, Rocketman) and Claire Foy (Women Talking, The Crown), and is an adaptation of the 1987 Japanese novel, Strangers by Taichi Yamada. All of Us Strangers will be the second film adaptation following the 1988 horror, The Discarnates directed by Nobuhiko Obayashi.
Official Synopsis
One night in his near-empty tower block in contemporary London, Adam (a screenwriter, played by Andrew Scott) has a chance encounter with his mysterious neighbor Harry (Paul Mescal) that punctures the rhythm of his everyday life. As Adam and Harry get closer, Adam is pulled back to his childhood home where it appears his long-dead parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell) are both living and look the same age as the day they died thirty years before.
All of Us Strangers will be released in theaters on December 22nd, 2023.
