A new online radio station has just launched across the globe, but it’s no ordinary station. Broadcasting worldwide, 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, Last Exit Radio blends hard rock, horror films, and heavy metal of the 80s, 90s, and beyond.
Emanating from the fictional Last Exit City, the Canadian based station promises an eclectic blend of killer tunes featuring a healthy dose of cover tracks and soundtracks songs interspersed with old-school horror trailers, oddball commercials, and commentary from the city’s ‘inhabitants.’
“Last Exit Radio is essentially a music guy who loves genre films and a genre film guy who loves music banding together to build a decent radio station because we couldn’t find anything that spoke to us,” explains Station Manager Kasey Ferguson. “Corporate influences have really sucked a lot of the life out of radio: the rebellious spirit, the devil may care attitude, the reckless abandon, the freakin’ music, man…anything that was fun or interesting about the medium doesn’t seem to exist anymore. It’s our hope that Last Exit Radio can help fill that void.”
“When we started developing the station, we just wanted to build something that was fresh and fun,” says General Manager CF Benner. “It became apparent early on that we could easily blend classic and rare tracks from our favorite bands while also providing an outlet to push cool new tunes from burgeoning artists. Hopefully it’s a great listening experience where you’ll discover tracks that you wouldn’t hear elsewhere while providing tangible benefits to artists in both music and film.”

Launching with original programming anchored by the long-running The Kasey Ferguson Show, the station’s first broadcast event occurs this Halloween with Ferguson’s fifth annual “Halloween Scare-A-Thon” special, airing on Devil’s Night, Thursday, October 30th and running through Halloween the next day.
Previous installments of the “Scare-A-Thon” proved so popular that the ear-splitting event was broadcast in syndication throughout the United States, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, and Australia with the spooky show now calling Last Exit Radio home.
