Netflix can officially add its original series Wednesday in the hall of fame of successful shows for their streaming platform. Wednesday premiered on November 23, 2022 and has become a pop culture hit with many recreating the infamous Wednesday dance performed and choreographed by Jenna Ortega who plays the title role.
One thing fans of the series also gravitated towards was the evolving friendship between Ortega’s character Wednesday and her vibrant roommate Enid played by Emma Myers. The character of Enid is the polar opposite of Wednesday counteracting her known macabre demeanor, but that wasn’t an issue for Emma when it came to the pair working together.

“Jenna is amazing to work with because for a character that’s so deadpan and monotone and really not supposed to be showing very much, you can read every emotion and every thought she has in her eyes. She gives you so much,” Myers shared with Popternative in an exclusive chat. “I was nervous going into it because I was like oh, I don’t really know how to play off of this. We’re going to have to figure it out…no problems whatsoever. I mean, the first day was so much fun. And she [Jenna] just gives you so much she’s such a generous scene partner. I always loved working with her because I had the best time with her on set really she’s just amazing.”

Wednesday season 1 is streaming on Netflix.
