TriStar Pictures and Spyglass Media Group’s new horror film Thanksgiving, directed by Eli Roth and co-written by Roth and Jeff Rendell, has started production in Toronto. The film will be produced by Roger Birnbaum Roth and Rendell and is inspired by the fictitious trailer featured in 2007’s Grindhouse.
Thanksgiving will star Jalen Thomas Brooks (Walker, Animal Kingdom), Patrick Dempsey (Disenchanted, Grey’s Anatomy), Addison Rae (He’s All That), Nell Verlaque (Big Shot, The Marijuana Conspiracy), and Milo Manheim (School Spirits, Zombies).

While there is no official synopsis yet, according to The Hollywood Reporter, “the plot involves a slasher who comes to a small Massachusetts town with the intention of ‘creating a Thanksgiving carving board out of the town’s inhabitants’.”
The film will be released in theaters in the near future.
