HBO announced today that Season 2 of Dune: Prophecy is now in production across Hungary, Jordan, and Spain. It was also announced that three new cast members are joining the second season: Indira Varma (Coldwater, Obi-Wan Kenobi), Ashley Walters (Top Boy, Adolescence), and Tom Hollander (The White Lotus, Feud: Capote vs. The Swans).
Set in the Dune universe created by author Frank Herbert, Dune: Prophecy is set 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides and follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled order that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.
Returning cast for Season 2 are Emily Watson (Hamnet, Chernobyl), Olivia Williams (The Crown, The Nevers), Travis Fimmel (Black Snow, Vikings), Jodhi May (The Witcher, Gentleman Jack), Sarah-Sofie Boussnina (The Bridge, The Colony), Josh Heuston (Dangerous Animals, Heartbreak High), Chloe Lea (Foundation, Great Expectations), Jade Anouka (Fool Me Once, His Dark Materials), Faoileann Cunningham (The Witcher: Blood Origin, The Northman), Edward Davis (Mickey 17, Sanditon), Aoife Hinds (Normal People, We Live in Time), Chris Mason (Broadchurch, Riverdale), Shalom Brune-Franklin (The Girlfriend, The Tourist), Jessica Barden (The End of the F***ing World, Hanna), Emma Canning (The History of Sound, Masters of the Air), Yerin Ha (Bridgerton, The Survivors), Barbara Marten (The Devil’s Hour, The Turning), and Tessa Bonham Jones (Krapopolis, Young Woman and the Sea).
HBO also released a behind-the-scenes look from the set of Season 2.
