Netflix has revealed the official trailer for Devil May Cry Season 2, the adult animated fantasy action series based on the hit video game IP from Capcom. Season 2 will premiere on May 12 with all 8 episodes.
Adi Shankar (Castlevania) returns as showrunner as well as voice cast Johnny Yong Bosch (Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War) as Dante, Robbie Daymond (Critical Role) as Vergil, and Scout Taylor-Compton (Halloween) as Lady.
In Season 1, dark forces converged at the gateway between the human and demon realms. At the center was Dante, an orphaned demon hunter for hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds rests on his shoulders.
The logline for Devil May Cry Season 2 reads, “A war between worlds ignites as Dante must battle the only force that mirrors his own: his estranged twin brother Vergil. In Devil May Cry season 2, Dante must confront his own devils and the feeling of family he lost as a child. With the reemergence of Vergil, will Dante lay to rest old demons or fall victim to them?”
