With Season 6 of Only Murders in the Building set in London, the hit comedy-mystery series has expanded its cast with several UK stars.
Deadline reports that joining Season 6 are David Tennant (Broadchurch, Doctor Who), Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton, Derry Girls), Jodie Whittaker (Toxic Town, Doctor Who), Jim Broadbent (The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, Bridget Jones Diary), Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd, The Double), Adrian Lukis (The Marlow Murder Club, Pride and Prejudice), and Kathryn Hunter (Black Doves, Andor).
They join the prevously announced recurring cast of Jennifer Saunders (Absolutely Fabulous, Shrek 2), Sean Teale (The Lady, The Gifted), Simone Ashley (The Devil Wears Prada 2, Bridgerton), Amar Chadha-Patel (The Decameron, Willow), Rhea Norwood (Heartstopper, Your Christmas or Mine 2), Matthew Beard (The Testament of Ann Lee, The Imitation Game), Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters, Catastrophe), Martin Freeman (Sherlock, Fargo), Geri Halliwell-Horner (Gran Turismo, Rainbow Woman), Jamie Demetriou (The Afterparty, Fleabag), Anjana Vasan (Black Mirror, We Are Lady Parts), Jane Horrocks (Bloods, Chicken Run), Derek Jacobi (Last Tango in Halifax, Gosford Park), and Lesley Nicol (Downton Abbey, East Is East).
Season 5 of Only Murders in the Building premiered on September 9, 2025 on Hulu and Disney+ and was renewed in October the day the season finale dropped. Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) investigate the death of their doorman, Lester, and the finale ended with a new murder that will be the subject of Season 6. The 10-episode sixth season will take place in and be filmed on location in London.
