Independent Film Company (IFC) today announced that the upcoming road comedy, IDIOTS (previously titled The Shitheads) from Macon Blair (The Lowdown, The Toxic Avenger) will release in theaters on August 28.
IDIOTS stars Dave Franco (Together, Now You See Me), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Cocaine Bear, Straight Outta Compton), Mason Thames (Regretting You, The Black Phone), Kiernan Shipka (Totally Killer, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Nicholas Braun (Succession, Cat People), and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones, The Toxic Avenger).
The logline reads, “this raucous ride-along film trails two unqualified bozos (Dave Franco and O’Shea Jackson Jr.) who are hired to transfer a rich teen (Mason Thames) to rehab when their straightforward gig quickly spirals into dangerous mayhem.
