2019 was the last time that there was a One Chicago crossover event (Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D.). Fans are finally getting a new one which is set to air on Wednesday, January 29th at 8/7c, but the order will shift slightly. The 3-hour event will begin with Fire, followed by Med, and then P.D. It will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
NBC revealed a promo video and it shows a massive gas explosion putting many characters from the three series at risk. As a result of the explosion, Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) are trapped underground in the train, while Platt (Amy Morton) is being rushed to Chicago Med.
The official logline reads, “When a gas explosion rocks a high-rise, Chicago’s first responders come out in force to rescue hundreds of civilians. It’s the calamity beneath the surface, however, that sends our heroes on a race to save 40 people trapped deep underground, including two of their own.”
