Bridgerton Season 4 Has a New Cast Announcement
After the recent news that Netflix‘s Bridgerton season 4 will focus on Benedict Bridgerton, Netflix today announced a new cast member joining the upcoming season.
Australian actress Yerin Ha (Dune: Prophecy, Halo) will play Sophie Baek in Brigderton Season 4.
Sophie has been forced to spend much of her life working as a maid for the most demanding employer in the ton. But the resourceful Sophie always finds a way to persevere through her circumstances, which will drastically change after she disguises herself to attend Violet Bridgerton’s masquerade ball and meets Benedict Bridgerton.
The logline for season 4 reads, “The fourth season of Bridgerton turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict (Luke Thompson). Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down, until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.”
“What drew me to Sophie was that she immediately has obstacles — something that she constantly has to overcome. Whether it’s this battle around social status or trying to hide her feelings from Benedict,” Yerin tells Tudum. “There’s this theme with masks that was running throughout all of my audition scenes. When does Sophie put on this mask to cover her emotions? Or vice versa, when does she take it off and when does she soften up?”
Seasons 1-3 of Bridgerton are streaming on Netflix.
