We were joined on the Popternative show by the cast of the new horror thriller, Bone Lake. Maddie Hasson (Malignant), Marco Pigossi (Invisible City), Alex Roe (Billy the Kid), and Andra Nechita (Fatal Attraction) star in the new film directed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan (Fixation) which arrived in theaters on October 3.
Bone Lake follows a couple’s romantic vacation at a secluded lakeside estate that gets upended when they’re forced to share the house with a mysterious and attractive couple. Bone Lake is a darkly humorous and seductive horror story where a dream getaway spirals into a nightmarish maze of sex, lies, and manipulation, triggering a bloody battle for survival.
“It was a lot of fun, I love that the film starts as something and then becomes something completely different and wild and [something] we were not expecting. I love the surprise that it brings,” Marco Pigossi tells us.
Maddie Hasson, who has worked in the horror genre before says, “This isn’t a story we’ve seen before. Most of the original stories we get today are horror because they’re not expensive to make, and they’re fun. People want to see them, people want to go to the theaters. I love horror movies, I’ve always loved blood and gore and violence.”
