If you’re a horror fan, then you absolutely should be watching From on MGM+. Created and executive produced by John Griffin and executive produced by showrunner Jeff Pinkner, the show unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter as vicious and terrifying creatures roam the night killing anyone in their path. The first season premiered in 2022 following a second in 2023. Not too long after the second season concluded in June, From was officially renewed for a third.
For both seasons, Avery Konrad played Sara Myers, a meek-mannered girl who got trapped in the town with her brother Nathan (Paul Zinno). Throughout both seasons Sara seemed to be connected to the town in a unique way where she often received messages about doing terrible things to free the residents. Naturally, when her wrongdoings came to light, she wasn’t a favorite amongst the townspeople. Avery told Popternative how challenging it was to play a character everyone hates.
“It was definitely challenging at some points but at the same time, these are things that she’s done and she has to own up to at some point after all the chaos is settled, she needs to sit and marinade I guess in these things, these terrible things that she’s done. So I think the reality of what happened kind of starts to hit her and you kind of see her deal with that in season two which is also a very different than season one as far as Sara goes and her story and her arc which was a challenge in a very different way than in season one.”
