Netflix has just dropped the official trailer for Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2, set to premiere on June 25. A live-action reimagining of the award-winning and beloved Nickelodeon animated series, Season 1 debuted in November 2024. The new season will take place after the bittersweet victory saving the Northern Water Tribe from the invading Fire Nation.
In Season 2, Aang (Gordon Cormier), Katara (Kiawentiio), and Sokka (Ian Ousley) reunite for a dangerous journey to secure the support of the mysterious Earth King in their looming fight against the ruthless Fire Lord Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim). Their quest leads them deep into the heavily fortified city of Ba Sing Se, where Aang meets Toph (Miyako), a bold and highly skilled earthbender who agrees to train him in the powerful art he’ll need to defeat the Fire Nation. But new threats continue to close in, as Prince Zuko (Dallas Liu) remains relentless in his pursuit of Aang, while his dangerous sister Azula (Elizabeth Yu) enters the battle with plans of her own.
Season 2 will also introduce audiences to the fan-favorite character Toph Beifong, a blind Earthbending prodigy, who will be played by Miyako (You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah).
