AMC has announced that Season 3 of The Walking Dead: Dead City will premiere on July 26, following the show’s second season debut in May 2025. The new season will also stream on AMC+. Along with the premiere date reveal, the network also dropped first look images from the upcoming season. The series stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan, reprising their fan-favorite roles from The Walking Dead as Negan and Maggie as the story continues in post-apocalyptic Manhattan.
Season 2 centered on a fierce struggle for control of Manhattan between the authoritarian New Babylon Federation and New York’s gangs.

The synopsis for Season 3 reads, “In season three, Maggie (Cohan) and Negan (Morgan) finally put aside their differences to build the first thriving community in Manhattan since the apocalypse, but when chaos in the city begins to arise, they are forced to question: have they learned from their old wounds or will their dark past spell doom for the entire city?’
The cast for Season 3 will also include Jimmi Simpson (Dark Matter, Haunted Hotel), Raúl Castillo (Task, We the Animals), Aimee Garcia (Dexter, Lucifer), Logan Kim (Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire), and Michael Emery (Sebastian, Birder).
