AMC Networks have revealed a sneak peek scene from The Vampire Lestat, the highly anticipated next chapter in Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe. The Vampire Lestat will act as the third season of Interview with the Vampire, set to premiere in June on AMC and AMC+.
Featuring stars Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson, the scene, titled “The Book,” offers audiences a glimpse at Lestat’s (Reid) reaction to the release of Daniel Molloy’s (Eric Bogosian) book, Interview with the Vampire.
The synopsis reads, “In the new rock and roll centric season, the Vampire Lestat goes on an electric multi-city tour while being haunted by “muses” from his wild and rebellious past. As his band’s popularity and star power rises, so does Lestat’s influence over vampires and humans alike, leaving others to contend with Lestat’s power in the face of the Great Conversion, an unnatural surge in the vampire population.”
In addition to Reid and Anderson, The Vampire Lestat stars Assad Zaman, Bogosian, Delainey Hayles and Jennifer Ehle and is executive produced by award-winning producer Mark Johnson, creator, writer and showrunner Rolin Jones, Hannah Moscovitch, along with Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice.
“The scene comes hot on the heels of the recent debut of “Long Face,” Lestat’s first official rock single, and the new season is turning up the volume with a lineup of infectious new tracks set to roll out in the coming months. AMC Networks and Lakeshore Records released the single on the newly launched Vampire Lestat artist profile pages at major digital music services, including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music. The song’s original music and lyrics, by series’ composer Daniel Hart and performed by Reid, will be featured in the series,” AMC Networks explains.
