The Tyler MacIntyre directed and Michael Kennedy written It’s A Wonderful Knife takes the genre of holiday horror combined with an alternative universe theme to give audiences a perfect film that translates from Spooky Season throughout the new year. Jane Widdop stars in the film as Winnie Carruthers who saves her town from a psychotic killer. A year later Winnie is wishing things were different and she was never born but that mindset takes her to a parallel universe where the killer is still on the loose and things are worse than she could have ever imagine.

Aiden Howard stars alongside Jane in It’s A Wonderful Knife as Winnie’s brother, Jimmy Carruthers. Aiden worked closely with Jane and Joel McHale, who played the pair’s father, David. Speaking with Popternative host Petey Beats, Aiden shared how close he became with Jane and how Joel set a Hollywood standard:

“Well first of all, Jane is amazing, they just crushed it. I think they were on 17 of 18 days, crazy long days, night shoots, and they were just like there every day ready to go. So kind and so humble but also ready to lead and we just became best of friends and still talk all the time. I just learned a lot working from them and for me being kind of newer to acting and them having done it for a while, I just learned a lot of that stuff too which was amazing. And then Joel is like…no joke, Joel McHale is the coolest, nicest human being I’ve ever worked with. Just the first day I remember going home like ‘that’s the standard.’ You come in, you’re kind to everyone, you care, you’re present. I can’t sing that dude’s praises enough…[He] blew me away on set and just how he interacts with people, it’s just a really cool way to live.”
