Prime Video today announced new series regulars joining Season 2 of Young Sherlock starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin (After series) as Sherlock Holmes. Joining the cast are Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones, Mayor of Kingstown), Olivia Williams (The Father, Dune: Prophecy), Indira Varma (The Night Manager, The Other Bennet Sister), and Sophie Skelton (Outlander, Ren).
Guy Ritchie will return to direct the first episode of the second season. Seaosn 1 of Young Sherlock premiered on March 4 and also stars Dónal Finn (The Other Bennet Sister, The Wheel of Time), Max Irons (Condor, The Riot Club), Zine Tseng (3 Body Problem), Joseph Fiennes (Dear England, The Handmaid’s Tale), Natascha McElhone (Hotel Portofino, Designated Survivor), and Colin Firth (Lockerbie: A Search for Truth, The King’s Speech).
The series offers viewers a new version of the iconic detective. Set in 1870s Oxford, it explores the early beginnings of legendary sleuth Sherlock Holmes when he is 19-years-old. Ritchie will return to direct the first episode of the second season.
