Last October, we compiled a list of 31 horror films to watch throughout the month as a countdown to Halloween since it can be overwhelming to choose what to watch. You can check out that list here! We now have a brand new list that will be entirely different than part I. Like the last list, these horror films will vary in years of release.

1.) No One Gets Out Alive (2021)

2.) The Banana Splits Movie (2019)

Synopsis: A family attends a live taping of The Banana Splits television series, but are forced to survive as soon as the characters go haywire and start a killing spree around the studio.

3.) The Babadook (2014)

Stars: Essie Davis, Noah Wiseman, Daniel Henshall
Synopsis: A single mother and her child fall into a deep well of paranoia when an eerie children’s book titled “Mister Babadook” manifests in their home.

4.) Trick ‘r Treat (2007)

Anna Paquin, Brian Cox, Dylan Baker
On Halloween, a few people face their worst nightmares as their paths cross one another. These include a couple that blows out a Halloween lamp, a serial killer, a college girl and a few errant teens.

5.) Benny Loves You (2019)
Director: Karl Holt
Stars: Karl Holt, Claire Cartwright, George Collie
Synopsis: Jack, a man desperate to improve his life throws away his beloved childhood plush, Benny. It’s a move that has disastrous consequences when Benny springs to life with deadly intentions.

6.) Oculus (2013)
Director: Mike Flanagan
Stars: Karen Gillan, Brenton Thwaites, Katee Sackhoff 
Synopsis: A woman tries to exonerate her brother, who was convicted of murder, by proving that the crime was committed by a supernatural phenomenon.

7.) Superhost (2021)
Director: Brandon Christensen
Stars: Sara Canning, Osric Chau, Gracie Gillam
Synopsis: With their follower count dwindling, travel vloggers Teddy and Claire pivot to creating viral content around their most recent “superhost,” Rebecca, who wants more from the duo than a great review.

8.) Tucker & Dale vs. Evil (2010)

Stars: Tyler Labine, Alan Tudyk, Katrina Bowden
Synopsis: Affable hillbillies Tucker and Dale are on vacation at their dilapidated mountain cabin when they are mistaken for murderers by a group of preppy college students.

9.) The Assent (2019)

Stars: Robert Kazinsky, Caden Dragomer, Peter Jason
Synopsis: After a series of disturbing supernatural events in his home, Joel, a young single father, comes to suspect that his young son may be possessed.

10.) Sleepy Hollow (1999)

Stars: Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci, Miranda Richardson
Synopsis: Ichabod Crane is sent to Sleepy Hollow to investigate the decapitations of three people, with the culprit being the legendary apparition, The Headless Horseman.

11.) There’s Someone Inside Your House (2021)

Synopsis: The graduating class at Osborne High is being targeted by a masked assailant, intent on exposing the darkest secret of each victim, and only a group of misfit outsiders can stop the killings.

Synopsis: An aging paranoid war criminal, protected by his faithful wife, faces death while being haunted by the ghosts of his past.

Synopsis: A journalist must investigate a mysterious videotape which seems to cause the death of anyone one week to the day after they view it.

15.) Hush (2016)

A deaf and mute writer who retreated into the woods to live a solitary life must fight for her life in silence when a masked killer appears at her window.

16.) Alone (2020)

Synopsis: A recently widowed traveler is kidnapped by a cold blooded killer, only to escape into the wilderness where she is forced to battle against the elements as her pursuer closes in on her.

17.) Cold Hell (2017)

Stars: Violetta Schurawlow, Tobias Moretti, Sammy Sheik
Synopsis: A vicious serial killer is targeting prostitutes in Vienna, Austria. A tough young woman from Turkey, who works as a taxi driver, witnesses one of the murders and becomes a target. The police are of no help, so she must stop him herself.

18.) Malignant (2021)

Stars: Annabelle Wallis, Maddie Hasson, George Young
Synopsis: Madison is paralyzed by shocking visions of grisly murders, and her torment worsens as she discovers that these waking dreams are in fact terrifying realities.

19.) Reincarnation (2005)

Stars: Yûka, Kippei Shîna
Synopsis: A Japanese actress begins having strange visions and experiences after landing a role in a horror film about a real-life murder spree that took place over forty years ago.

20.) Open 24 Hours (2018)

Synopsis: After setting her serial killer boyfriend on fire, a paranoid delusional woman gets a job at an all-night gas station.

21.) Candyman (2021)

Synopsis: A sequel to the horror film Candyman (1992) that returns to the now-gentrified Chicago neighborhood where the legend began.

Synopsis: When the Davison family comes under attack during their wedding anniversary getaway, the gang of mysterious killers soon learns that one of the victims harbors a secret talent for fighting back.

23.) Ghost Ship (2002)

Synopsis: A salvage crew discovers an uninhabited passenger ship, lost in 1962, in the Bering Sea. However, they soon realise something is amiss after many paranormal activities are observed.

Synopsis: When a young boy contracts a mysterious illness, his mother must decide how far she will go to protect him from terrifying forces in her past.

26.) The Children of the Corn (1984)

Synopsis: A young couple is trapped in a remote town where a dangerous religious cult of children believes that everyone over age 18 must be killed.

27.) Willy’s Wonderland (2021)

Synopsis: A quiet drifter is tricked into a janitorial job at the now condemned Willy’s Wonderland. The mundane tasks suddenly become an all-out fight for survival against wave after wave of demonic animatronics. Fists fly, kicks land, titans clash — and only one side will make it out alive.

28.) Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse (2015)

Synopsis: Three scouts, on the eve of their last camp-out, discover the true meaning of friendship when they attempt to save their town from a zombie outbreak.

31.) Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019)

Synopsis: On Halloween 1968, Stella and her two friends meet a mysterious drifter, Ramón, and uncover a sinister notebook of stories.
