Who doesn’t love a good spy film? In espionage films there’s action, comedy, and sometimes even a little romance. A new one recently in theaters combines all those elements. On Friday, February 2 the Matthew Vaughn directed film Argylle premiered in theaters. Based on a script from Jason Fuchs, the film follows reclusive author Elly Conway (played by Bryce Dallas Howard) who writes espionage novels about a secret agent. When Elly’s current book seems to mimic real-world events a spy syndicate steps in to investigate. Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena, Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose, and Samuel L. Jackson make up the ensemble cast.
