Who doesn’t love a good spy film? In espionage films there’s action, comedy, and sometimes even a little romance. A new one recently in theaters combines all those elements. On Friday, February 2 the Matthew Vaughn directed film Argylle premiered in theaters. Based on a script from Jason Fuchs, the film follows reclusive author Elly Conway (played by Bryce Dallas Howard) who writes espionage novels about a secret agent. When Elly’s current book seems to mimic real-world events a spy syndicate steps in to investigate. Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena, Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose, and Samuel L. Jackson make up the ensemble cast. After you watch Argylle, here are 9 espionage themed movies to watch next.
