Netflix‘s second season of The Witcher finally dropped on December 17 – 2 years after its debut season. We already know that a third season is on the way, which was announced in September before the second season even arrived. Fans by now have surely binged the newest season already, and are looking to fill their fantasy drama void. Here are 8 shows like The Witcher you should check out while you wait for season 3.

The Letter for the King (2020 – )
This coming-of-age fantasy drama debuted in 2020, and there is still no word on Netflix’s decision to renew it for season 2. There are only 6 episodes, so it’s a fairly easy binge. The Letter for the King centers on a young squire in the Kingdom of Dagonaut who must deliver a secret letter to the King.
Stars: Amir Wilson, Ruby Ashbourne Serkis, Thaddea Graham, Islam Bouakkaz
Merlin (2008 – 2012)

A bit more on the horror side of fantasy drama, The Order follows a college freshman who joins a secret society, The Order, who is exposed to a world of magic and monsters. Although Netflix cancelled it after just 2 seasons, we recommend giving it a watch.
