It’s never too early for Spooky Season and the new year is bringing an assortment of horror films coming to theaters starting in January and throughout 2024. To kick things off, Night Swim is the first horror film that can be seen in theaters premiering at the beginning of January. If you’re into the haunted house sub-genre of horror, then this could be the film for you.

If you’re in the horror community then you know not all films slated as horror are designed to be scary. In Lisa Frankenstein, Kathryn Newton (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Freaky) plays Lisa who goes through extreme circumstances for love. Unfortunately, since we’re still very early into 2024, many plots and casting news of horror films coming out later in the year are still under wraps like A Quite Place: Day One, Saw XI, and Smile 2.

Nonetheless, horror lovers will have plenty to get into this year. Below are 8 horror films coming to theaters in 2024.
