Prime Video’s newest series is the crime drama, Countdown, starring Jensen Ackles (The Boys, Supernatural), Eric Dane (Euphoria, Grey’s Anatomy), and Jessica Camacho (The Flash, Watchmen).
Countdown premiered on the platform on June 25 with the first 3 episodes with weekly episodes leading up to the season finale on Wednesday, September 3. Created by Derek Haas, executive producer of One Chicago and FBI franchises, the series centers on an officer with the Department of Homeland Security is who murdered in broad daylight. LAPD detective Mark Meachum (Ackles) is then recruited to a secret task force, alongside undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement, to investigate. But the hunt for the killer soon uncovers a plot far more sinister than anyone could have imagined, kicking off a race against time to save a city of millions.
